someone hit my car at school.....

someone hit my car backing out of their parking spot at school. she spider-webbed the glass in the passenger side mirror, cracked the actual housing of the mirror, and now the electronic movement of the mirror is not functional. the girl did leave a note with her phone number saying to contact her so she can pay for the damages... there arent any actual nissan dealers near my school, and there arent even that many garages... i suppose ill have one or two of em look at it in the next couple days, but does anyone have a rough idea of how much something like this would cost to repair... and im not tryin to get it fixed at a dealership and then rob this girl of her life savings.. a reasonable price..??

thanks

NICK

get the led side mirrors for like 125 unpainted, then pay 50 bucks for it to be painted.

see, thats my problem.. i was surprised that she did leave a note, and i really appreciate that she did.. however, i called dave b's nissan today, and it would basically cost around 400 bucks because the electronic function part of the mirror no longer works, so i need a whole mirror and wiring and glass and paint, plus all the labor... i feel bad asking this girl for 400 bucks bc she accidently hit my car and then left a note.. it is part of having a car in an apt complex with 2342432342432 college kids.. i guess ill ask her for at least half, maybe 250.. and just take care of the rest..

meccanoble: where can i get LED side lights for that price you mentioned?

thanks for reading anyone

^ It'll prolly cost her 500$ for the deductable in that case... not to mention increased rated. Maybe just try a junkyard. 400$ seems incredibly high.

Girl or no girl, note or no note, 400 bills is a good sized chunk. Make her *** pay for it ALL dont go 50/50, shes the one that messed up not you. Just think about it as if the person you hated the most at school busted your **** and put a note on your car...

haha, you are a fool!

yeah sucks for her to make the mistake, but think of it this way... she pays for it now, realizes how much it costs, and she'll be much more careful next time.

plus, it's not like you are ripping her off.

Call her up and talk to her, find out if she is strapped for cash, if shes not and says her parents are very wealthy, then let her pay for it all, if she says shes a lil broke, then make her only pay have and the rest in "favors". . . . :-)

As far as I recall, this is only the outer front facing shell and will not solve his electronic issues.
