What some people will do!

I was talking to a guy that works at a local tuner shop about some of the goofy things people do to their cars. He said he has seen it all, someone even tried to make a custom grill out of barbeque pit rack. what is some of the crazy stuff you guys have seen.

My personal favorite was a old beat up 80 something suburban with those neon washer lights and a underbody neon kit

that's pretty funny.

In Compton, where I work at, they put 20s on everything. Whatever they drive, they have a very nice sounding system and 20s. Last time, I saw an 80 something civic with a clean system and 20s. As it was passing by, he was bumping and no rattling whatsoever. Kinda jocked it for a sec.

Sometimes, they got these on their cars too

I've seen they put a wood piece that comes froma pallet that they used in stores for bulk merchandies and used it for a spolier of the trunk. Those you probably remember on ebay with a SUPER FAST Civic.

as told by my mechanic:

one day they had this late 80's car on a lift to do some work, and they saw this bit of enginuity/insanity: the guy's oil pan was leaking, and he rigged a little pan or a bottle below it, so that all the leaking oil would drip there, and every once in a while he would transfer that back into the engine.

Saw an 80's buick or olds or somethin a month ago with a foot tall spoiler and... a loudspeaker mounted on his trunk facing backwards. He spoke to me using his loud speaker too as he turned on the highway: he said "Bet that has VTEC" Note tho, I was driving a Silverado 2500HD. Must be something I dont know about the truck, always wondered why it revved so high

My girlfiend and I were laughing all afternoon about him

That is the French made Citroen. They are ugly but they have a hydraulic suspension system that lowers the car when you park it. They were very popular in the 60's.

When is that meet. I get out of the Air Force and am coming home in August. It would be cool to meet up with some of you guys. I'll be at every meet possible when I get out. Kinda hard to go to the New England meets when I'm in Oklahoma...or worse, in Qatar like I am now. I've been without my maxima for 4 months now. Just three weeks left now!

Yes, that Citroen is ugly, but todays Citroens are pretty cool cars, I guess Citroen CX (not sure) participates in various World Rally competitions and they take good places.
Peugeot 206 is the most popular car in Europe among youth, like Civics here is guess.....

I don't see the humor from making fun of Hondas and "ricers" in general anymore...think I'm getting too old. But to each of their own...
