First of all, with 235/45/17s and POP and Y-Pipe, does your stickshift MAX still chirp the tires from a 1-2 hard shift. My almost brand new clutch is slipping, but the strange thing is, 1-2 shift is the only time it slips. Its almost like if I pop the clutch too hard in a 1-2 shift, it doesn't clamp down hard enough onto the flywheel and therefore slips and lets the engine rev up. All other gears are fine. I am trying to pinpoint the problem here and need help.

Second, what is a good Stage I clutch for the Max in case I figure out that the clutch is the problem.

Thanks everyone

What kind of clutch do you have now? I would go with a Centerforce DF of stock. I've got 40K on my clutch and it still grabs like a champ. My car currently puts down 183hp and 196Tq to the wheels. I hope you don't have a UR kevlar clutch.
