any how-to's on painting calipers?

Remove the wheel and mask everything off really well. Sand the caliper as much as you can. Get some grey engine paint and throw 2 coats on there for primer. Then get the color you want and paint away with as many coats as you would like.

Lots of prep work = a great finish
Don't cheap out on the brake cleaner. Get a couple wire scrub brushes and go to work on whatever you can get off before you paint. It won't be spotless like new, but it should be relativly clean before you start to paint. The Folia Tec caliper paint is a great kit. A 2 part paint-laquer that gets mixed together before you apply it. It takes QUITE a while to dry so you'd need a garage to leave the car in while it drys/cures. The finish is excellent though.

[lazy sty-o]
1. remove wheel
2. put newspaper around the caliper
3. spray and pray
4. put the wheel back on

follow mr. motorvate's instruction regarding brake disassembly, get brake cleaner and clean the surface really well, clean off all the dust, spray and pray, and then reverse order.
