Don't forget that's 30lbs for a 16x7 (which most people won't get)
Just imagine what a 17x8 or even 18" wheel weights.

I think Borbet makes a wheels very similar (type M?) and they are lighter.

You care what your car looks like? It's gold!
Just kidding man.

My last car was a gold pontiac grand am, so you can make fun of me as much as you want. It was the "gold bullet"

those rims are the best looking rims on a 4th gen imo. Theyre just bling bling. And not the chrome ones by the way.

Why don't you buy a rim from this decade?
Momo Arrows have been played out since like 1991.
All they're good for is slowing your ET by about half a sec.

The momo arrows are nice, however, i think Momo is a very overpriced brand with all of their products. I think they're rims look kind of cheap compared to other brands such as Niche, Lexani, Neeper...etc. I have the 18 inch Bella's on mine and I love the way they look. I'm actually selling them so I can put 20 inch Bellas on. I'm not big on the racing aspect, as I have no place I really need to get to that fast. If I wanted to go fast I would have bought an SC400, or a 1996-97 Corvette. Just my .02

How much do 19" Mille Miglia Avia II rims weight?
Just curious, cause they don't look like a lightweight wheel.

The Arrows do look good, BUT they dramatically slow down the car, MAKE IT HANDLE WORSE, and BRAKE WORSE. Adding more unsprung really has a nasty effect on a car. At all rpms, it much harder for the engine to accelerate the wheel. Lower profile and wider tires are also heavier and contribute to this slowing down effect. The weight of the wheel is also further outside on the rim which makes things even worse. When people are paying $350 for a y-pipe that adds about 10fwhp and torque, it seems stupid to me to add heavy wheels that easily offset the power gained and probably make the car slower than stock. A buddy of mine added larger rims to his newer Firebird and he lost 10rwhp simply because the wheels are 6lbs heavier and 1" bigger. On a smaller displacement motor like the Maxima, it's even worse.

Adding weight to the wheel makes it hard for the brakes to slow the car.

Adding weight to the wheel makes handling worse. Why? Because the heavier wheels are more suseptible to "bounce" and loosing contact in a bumpy turn. Overall, heavier wheels are slower to react and ride much worse.

Finally, adding a tire/wheel combo that is 15lbs heavier than stock also adds 60 lbs to your car.

With all these trade offs, I don't understand why you would want to do this to your car just to make it look better.

Very well put. That's why all the lightweight wheels (like Volk) cost so much. Some people think just cause a rim looks the same that it is, but lot's of rims look like Volk rims, but cost half as much. There is a reason, quality and weight.

Yes, I know these rims, including the Arrows are heavy, but

but I'd still put the Arrows in my car because it looks so GOOD!!! Of course I dont want to put heavy wheels and slow down my car, but the Momo Arrows are my favorite wheels. I just love them and wouldnt hesitate getting them if I had the $$.

I drove around for a week with 15" hubcaps that came off a 2k GXE, and the car was definitely faster. It was definitely faster then the 16" stock SE wheels that came on my car. Now I have a 16" by 7.5" Fittipaldis with wider tires, it feels so much slower then when I had the 15" hubcaps. But it's ok since my car looks good.

I beleive they are 22 lbs ea. which isn't too bad for a 19".
They are two-piece rims.
Basically they weigh less than a 15" Momo Arrow.
I swear I think the Arrow's are made of solid IRON.
My friend had them on his Mazda Millenia...
damn was his shiet slow...& rotating tires was a WORKOUT!

I assume Discounttire.com is fibbing as I was told that the Momo Arrows 17x8 were ~23.8 pounds and the tire would weigh around 20 pounds. I take it that 43.8 pounds is a false statement for momo arrows with tires.

A 16X7 Arrow weighs 30lbs. A 17X8 Arrow weighs about 35lbs and most 235/45R17s weigh about 26 lbs. So your looking at about 61 lbs or so.

Man, I don't want to be mean...and don't take it that way, but IMHO the Arrows are worth the .5 ET loss just for the looks. I personally think your Mille Miglia Avia II's don't look too hot on a Max....are you going for that "gangsta" look???

I just got my 18x8.5 shipped from UK. but anyways, I'll tell you guys tommorow how much each wheel weighted, since I still have momo boxes in my garage. But I always thought that momo arrows like were made for Maxima. Yes, my car got little slower, even though its still fast enough for me. But find me any other wheel besides Arrow's that looks that good on a Maxima????

I always loved those wheels but they’re super heavy from what I remember.

The only reason Stillen made a supercharger kit was to offset the added weight and performance loss of those handsome looking anchors.

When my friend had these on his fourth generation in the middle of 2000, they resembled yours completely.

Pretty old thread? LOL

It's very old, so old that you practically brought us back to the creation of the ORG which was around August of 2000 I believe.
