CAI Filter question
CAI Filter question
Hey guys,
Im looking to buy a PR CAI, but i want to go with a K&N filter as opposed to a monster flow. I know the part number for K&N is ru2820. That is the coffee can shaped filter with the solid top. I was looking at different filter options and came across the extreme filters that have the filter media on the top too, so it would pull air in from the sides and the top. Now would this run a greater risk of sucking up water or might this be a slightly better filter for the CAI??? All help or ideas is appreciated. Thanks
Here are the links for the filters.

I suggest getting the Apexi filter rather than the K&N. You won't risk screwing up your MAF with K&N filter oil. Every CAI filter will get wet down there but you'll only suck water up the pipe if the filter is immersed. Unless you plan on driving through rivers and streams, this won't be a problem for you. The AEM bypass valve is a waste of money.

(should've rotated the pic 90 degrees...oh well)
Anyway, just get the filter, rubber tube, metal clamps and the adapter bracket. I think Berk sells it as a CAI adapter kit for the Apexi filter. Good luck.
