New Auto-x Pictures

Just wanted to share with all of you that I put up some new pictures of me auto-x'ing. Of course there's the MAX, but there are some pictures of me driving my friends new '03 Evo VIII. Check it out on page 6 and 7 of my site, and let me know what you think.

Here's the link also http://www.cardomain.com/id/joeycurl

Great "action shot" photos.

I have always wanted to auto-X, it looks like so much fun.

Thanks guys! Auto-x’ing is really fun and definitely worth the time, effort, and money. Not to mention you get to exercise your speed demons and improve your driving skills. The Evo was lots of fun and not scary, especially since the turbo kicks in at a low RPM (3k-3.5K RPM). The stock tires that they come with suck even for a performance tire. There was more body lean then I expected and the tires just couldn’t keep things planted. Overall though the car is really good and has lots of power. AWD is definitely a plus. In a stock the car could benefit from a RSB.

As for my MAX the suspension I have is way too soft. I added all that stuff before I was into auto-x’ing, and now I’m stuck making due with what I have. Including the fact that it’s an auto . But with some coilovers and adjustable shock the car would be much better. Now I race with Kosi rims and SO2, and this combo makes a big difference. Placement mostly depends on the driver and I’m not really good, but at least I place in the top 30% usually. Our SFR SCCA SOLO2 events usually have 250+ entries.

If anyone wants to know/learn more about auto-x’ing let me know, and if your in the bay area you could even come out to one of the events.

He has been using the SE-R...in fact him and his dad have two! and one of them is getting turbo. I wish I had money like that.
