Ok,
I have the PR CAI, but im not installing it until spring, so i dont suck up all this maine slush. Until then, can i put the K&N filter that came with it and put it on in place of my stock air filter? For some reason i thought that the K&N filter taht came with CAI was different or somthing? Or would it be ok? If so, im gonna install this pup today. Yay!
Thanks

Yes, just put the K&N filter into the pipe conntected to the MAF.
the curved pipe (into the fender) part can be put on later.

i suck at doing stuff like this. I found what i think is the stock air box, its this big ol box with clamps on the sides, and inside there is a redairfilter looking thing. Do i take this out? I looked on maximadriver and didnt see any air filter instructions... probably cuz its so easy =)

Ok,
So i have been told you need an adpater to use the K&N, but then he said that i probably have it cuz i have the cold air intake. Is it that smaller pipe? The CAI came with two pipes and the K&N. is the smaller of the two the adapter i need? If so, how do i install this thing.

Re: aaaaaaaaarg

ehheh.. yes it is the smaller pipe.
first remove that big ugly box. remove the top portion (connected to the MAF - 4 screws) first then remove the bottom part.
you know the smaller pipe with the weird pipes sticking out? that is the one that connects to the MAF and the K&N.
you have to remove that squarish piece too.. that is where you disconnect the tubing and put it into the smaller pipe.
