My dad is getting ready to get a new car and is considering a 01' I30. Can anyone tell me about there experience with this car. I heard it is slower than the Max, is this noticable? Oh and how does the 3.2 TL or ES 300 compare to the I30.

Tell him to hold out just a lil longer. 2002 should have some nice changes (260hp maxima?) The i30 btw, is not slower than the maxima, unless youre talkin bout the lack of a manual option.

As for the 3.2 TL, its about the same car as the i30. Then, theres the new 2002 3.2 TL Type-S .. just came in a few days ago, 260 hp. (sound like a familiar number?) .. supposedly the dealer said its selling at sticker, but i think theyre lying. Why the hell would you sell a new new car at sticker when theyre in low supply? Perhaps the stock market is really hurtin ppl.

As for the lexus, my roommate (currently in the same boat as yer dad) never bothered looking. It looks so .. plain/boring/aged?

Good luck

Eww. I tried out a 3.2TL and the i30 is much, much nicer. More room and more style. The 3.2TL is an Accord. Not even a spiced up Accord. Just an Accord. Yuck. The i30 at least has some improved amenities and style. I love mine way more than the 3.2tl i looked at.

Thats what i said, but my roommate thinks the 3.2TL-S has a very nice interior, all the stuff is standard (power everything, heated seats, indash 6cd bose changer) .. i havent seen either yet, im going with him next time they test drive.. mauhahaha

The i30 is a spiced up maxima to me, so same deal there. His family wont buy Nissan or Honda cuz their service blows. (which it does)
