Are the mass air flow sensors in automatic Maxima's larger than the one in a 5-speed? Would there be any benefit in doing a swap to allow for more air flow?

Although I can't be 100% sure, I gonna say all the maxima maf sensors are the same. But I'm curious to know why you would think this though.

I was just curious be we swapped them in an Altima... the auto's were bigger, and we've also done it with a Neon which we were able to see a noticable change on a dyno. In each case the auto's were bigger, just wondering if it was the same case with our Max's.

mafs

the ecu is programed to only read as far as the mafs will go, installing another bigger one won't work if the stock mafs is already maxed out. you would have to reprogram the ecu when using a higher flowing mafs. or something like that. the stock mafs will max out around 7 lbs of boost, on 4th gen. i wouldn't think that a naturally aspirated max would need another mafs.
