Is it a vacuum leak?

I dunno guys, but my max makes an "airy noise" while the car is running with the hood open. I rolled up a long piece of paper and used it like a stethescope and found that the noise seems to be coming from the hoses around the pcv valve, -somewhere in that area at least. I mean, should the engine make SOME whishing sound? When I turn the car off for the last half second you here a final louder swish typr sound as the moter dies. It is a quick swishing sound. I don't have an intake- The car is stock. I am noiw worruiesd that the car is sucking in dirty air from somewhere. I know I am a little paranoid with my max but I think this may be a somethign tobe concerned about? Could there be some hoses that I need to look at UNDER the car? everything up top looks perfect.

BTW, mine is making the same noise. Something is leaking, I know it, but I too cannot find it.

I, however, also have the MEVI installed, with some extras, so finding mine is very hard as well.

You will probably need to spray some ether near the hoses to see if the engine runs at a higher rpm. If it does that, you have located a possible leak source. Don't use too much ether though. Just do it in very short bursts.
