Sweet!

I like the sound of a good exhaust, and yours sounds great. I love the sound of the 350Z and G35 Coupe, and I think you have a similar sound. Well done.

The best exhaust I ever heard (besides my uncle's 1968 Mustang) was when the pipe fell off my '93 Ford Probe GT just after the cat. I could not believe how sweet it was, I left it that way for a long time. Your levels peaked on the video and you have some dropouts at the higher revvs but it sounds great up to there.

Sounds really good. I've been kicking around the idea of using a single 80 series along with the Cattman Y Pipe. So many exhaust setup options, its going to tough committing to one.

Whatd you have done to your PGT? i used to have a 95 and i LOVED it. Sounded kick-***. Had Flowmaster 40-series delta flow, 50shot nitrous, gutted cat, intake and was planning many other mods till it got totalled...

You call my exhaust rice, when yours doesn't sound any better. Gotta love the "tinny" sound of the flowmasters...

Single one? Their all single. You cant use two . They are all either single/dual inlet, dual outlet...

Yes, alot of exhaust options. Once i cut my bumper, that limited my options very quickly...

Haha, ok. Post come clips up to refresh my memory...

The "tiny" sound of the flows comes from my huge 3.0L's of displacement

hmm I don't feel the sound of Flowmasters. Only if It had a v8 they would sound good, but the 3.0 v6 sounds weak

Yes, well you have to keep in mind, a muffler can only change your exhaust pitch so much. Alot has to do with the motors displacement/cylinders to begin with.

When i put on the flows, i wasnt expecting the big V8 american sound. It was really one of the only options i had for a dual setup without going the route of dual cans...

Did you buy it as a system, or seperate components? Is it a true dual exhaust?

No, all custom. And its really not possible to do a true dual (each side of the header) on the maxima. Some people split the B-pipe, but its just not worth it.

Heres a really really really crappy pic i did on paint awhile back of my setup so you can get the idea until i get pics up....click here

That's a great sound man. I have the luxury of living next to an indoor soccer park, and i always hear first, then see these poorly suped-up civics and other little ricers drive past, and i always tell myself that i don't want my maxima to sound like that if someone heard it drive past. (after exhaust and intake) But after hearing yours, i have new hope that it can be done right. good job!

Actually, no you said "tinny" (as in small) flowmaster sound. Feel free to check your above post

And to answer your comment about that tinnie sound, its coming from my Y-pipe, has always done that and i dont know why?!?!? Got a raspy tinnie sound and it drives me crazy. probably a very small leak at the flanges...

And yes, i stand by my original statement about your exhaust

Most flowmasters that I have heard have that metal raspy sound. Why did you pic crapmaster over anyother? They are the worse performace muff you could buy.

Sounds good man! I have a friend with a dual flowmaster set/up on a Dodge Stratus R/T, and it is loud as hell! I went with Magnaflow after hearing that one. However, your's sounds great. I don't think the Stratus has any resonators in place. Did you add resonators or wrap any of the pipes? Forgive me if I'm using the wrong terms here, I'm certainly no exhaust expert :-)

have yet to notice any loses. And yes, alot do have that sound, which i love. A muffler is probably the least of anyones concerns when it comes to exhaust systems. Cant think of why this muffler would hurt me substantially over say a straight through.

Also, i went the dual route, not many choices there

I just went with one resonator...in my B-pipe, and thats it.. No wrapping of the pipes or anything.

I'll take you up on the neg feedback part. You maxima now sounds like a Z24 cavalier or something with that ricer exhaust on it.

No offense intended at ALL, but man... the intake sounds so good, why screw it up with a fartpipe? One of the redeeming qualities of a maxima is that it doesn't sound like **** when you stomp the gas.

What do you mean "custom bent" B-pipe? Is it mandrel? From your cat to your muffler?

Got any under car pics??
