Hey Maxima fanatics, just wanted to take a second to introduce myself, as I am new to these forums. My name is Nick, I live in Jersey, and am the proud owner of a beastly '96 Max. As it is my first car, I'm 19 in a week, I instantly fell in love with it.
It's a '96 GLE, dark green/blackish color with a gold pinstripe on either side, with tan leather interior, bose audio, sunroof, pretty much fully loaded. I Never really started wanting to fix up the car until I saw a few Max's on the road that were pimped up.
The first thing I bought was Altezza taillights, and a 15 dollar exhaust tip that sounded like someone was throwing up, so that immediately went back. So then I worked my butt off during the last summer to save up a good amount of money to completely pimp out my Max.
This is what I've done so far.
-Dropped 2 inches
-Entirely new sport suspension system, struts, the whole bit.
-Scorpion z-rated tires
-16' rims
-Monza big bore exhaust, the entire system, not just the tip
-y-pipe
-Altezza tails
-35% tints on all four door windows. left the back window stock tint so everyone can look in to see my monster bose speakers in the back
-sunroof deflector, and the rain deflectors above each door
-spoiler
-DC clear corners
-PIAA xtreme white headlights
-re-did the front grille with chrome mesh
Now as for the summer coming up, I will be adding:
-Injen Cold air intake
-Indiglo gauges for the dash (with the white faces to vary the color
-under-dash neons, blue
-chrome/black auto shifter **** with matching e-brake handle
-new horn maybe?
I don't have any pics as of yet, however I will be getting a digi-cam for my birthday next week, so you can rest assured I will have pics up by the end of next week.
