I'm really digging the look. Now I'll be able to route the intake hose from the Poorman's CAI into the foglight hole. The lights are much brighter than stock. They are 3.5" Hella 55 watts lights. They mounted directly to the stock SE foglight frame and used the stock harness.

The lights are from JC Whitney and are about 50 bones. The housings are metal and everything provided is pretty heavyduty.

Would they work for a GXE?

Those lights look cool Dave! You said that they worked with the stock SE frames. Did you mean they fit into the holes or did you mean that the stock SE equipment was necessary for the new lights? I have a 97 GXE and I am looking for some fog lights. Would I be able to use these lights with the GXE headlight stock? I just don't want to pay $170 bucks for the factory fog light kit.

Chunger-
Optilux, yes.

bjf-
There is a frame that the stock foglights pop into. I don't know if the GXE has this or not. The frame bolts to the bumper. Even if you don't have the frame, you could easily rig something up.

Hey Dave, what happened to your factory foglights that you painted yellow to give off that GS400 look? Were they not producing good visibility?

Usually I'm not a big fan of aftermarket fog lights...but those are damn nice.

Dave, with the new camera and all, could you please take one close-up, corner shot of the headlight and foglight so we can see the assembly. Thanks, and yes, they do look good, almost remind me of an A4/S4.

TurboLaw99-
Check out my thread in the General forum entitled "Pic of the undernose Poorman's CAI intake hose". You'll see a close up of the driving light.

Platnumplus-
I got rid of the yellow painted foglights because I'm gonna be getting a Stillen front lip shortly and I needed a way to route the Poorman's intake hose into a different place so that I could still get a "ramming" effect. Plus, I've always like large round foglight look. It took a while to find a nice set of driving lights that were the size and price I wanted. The yellow painted stock fogs gave off great light.
