Does you paint scratch as easily as mine? I keep polishing and waxing this thing and I see a new scratch every day. Damn paint's driving me crazy! I love the car though.

I have a bone-stock Black Emerald 1995 GLE. Personally I think the alloys that come with the '95 GLE are ugly, anyone else share this opinion?

Hell yeah, but they're better than the hubcaps. I have the 2K+ 17" rims now though. I'll use the 15" as snow tires I guess.

Hmm...being 16 and unemployed, there's really no choice for me but to stick with the stock GLE alloys. I think that they really give the impression of the Maxima being an 'old-people' car, certainly in contrast to the SE rims.

Except for us on the board, the average Maxima driver IS an old person. They all seem to be driving the same model (GXE) in the same color (Champagne).

I have a black emerald 95 SE. . . I like the glitter flecks they put in the paint, but my spoilers clear coat is shot and it loks pretty bad. . . Looking to get it repainted. . . Also the touch up paint from Nissan really sucks, doesn't match the stock color at all.

The top of the plastic 'door guard', that strip that runs along the middle of the front and back doors is fading on both sides. I have no clue what to do about it.

When I get my spoiler repainted, I am going to have those pilars painted the color of the car. . . Mine have also faded and look horrible. . . I have been quoted about $300 for painting these body parts.

Oops, I didn't mean the black pillars, I meant the plastic thing about two inches wide that runs from the front door into the back door. It most closely resembles a horizontal door bumper.
