Question on hooking up a oil temp gauge?

ok, i need some help, i got a oil temp gauge for dirt cheap and want to hook it up, were is the oil warning light sender? and what the hell do i got to do?

im a *** at this kinda stuff, is there any write ups form any sites or can anyone help me.

Only way I know is to drill a hole in the oil pan, and put the sender in it. That's the most accurate way to get oil temp reading.

thanks, i gave up on the oil temp idea, i want it to read at least regular temp , i tired hooking it up to the actual temp sensor but it shorts out, should i hook it up to the stock temp gauge ????????
