anyone get under 7 stock?

I've tried to do the 6.6 0-60 with my 97 but the best I could get is 7.2. I heard the later cars are a tad slower and the 6.6 came from a car mag on the 95 model in late 94. The fifth gen catalog quotes the 6.6 but has an asterisk indicating it's from a previous year's mag.
If you got 6.6 how did you work the clutch, was it from idle or did you drop? Peace.

GTech times are slightly off...
they reader a little quicker than actual...
i've tested mine a bunch of times at the track...
its off 2/10ths in the 1/4 mi...
probably 1/10th off in the 0-60 sprint...
The best i got 0-60mph stock was 6.4 seconds...
That was with a 5000RPM launch...slipping the clutch...
So in actuality it was prolly more like 6.5 seconds...
Which is about right considering I got a 14.82 1/4 mi...
With a perfectly executed launch you should get very little if any wheelspin....keep practicing!
