boy do they love the chrom giovanni wheels...there were a few custom things i like that they do...such as the photo booth, and that gay ace truck with the rising cab, but the rice is just too much.

We don't need another chromed out, ugly POS max around here. That show is on pretty much everyday. Ne episodes are sunday nights and then a re-run is played 2x a day for the whole week, something like that.

I hate that show. At least before they ruined the car the person could just claim not to give a hell. But now it looks like they are trying to look like they have an ugly car. Plus those mechanics are the worst actors in the world they say the same thing for every part. "Now we are going to go with some chrome Giovannis." "I am feeling a chameleon paint job." I loved the one where they had the guy who wanted to look respectable when he went to a business meeting after he gets his MBA, so they painted his car a fade green to blue and put huge chrome wheels on it. He's not going to look very respectable.

I started watching Funkmaster Flex's show this weekend and he did some clean stuff, with old muscle cars and the such. Overhaulin is pretty cool too, but those are mainly old cars.

lol you guys. I actually give props to MTV for doing that. I've liked 2 of the cars they made the old stang, and the ranger were pretty coo.
The point is that they are taking a POS car and making it into a more valuable POS.
If I was driving a car like that I would be so happy if they came and pimp my ride .
They are doing the owners a big favor too, they all seemed to like their cars.
I just watched the previous of that Maxima, and I just don't know how they can make it worst. The damn car is ugly as it is.

The more I watch Flex's show the more it seems like he has no ****ing clue about cars. His every other line is "this thing has big horsepower". Either he's a poser or the writing on that show is that damn bad. Even when they were a Carroll Shelby's place, he was all gangsta talk and Shelby had no idea what he was saying.

that stopped the world and the women in thier tracks. he gave me thumbsup for the max and im trying to convince him to put me in big dog status thats slang for (nice car dude). but man i wish my car was 1/4 as fast and hot as his.

I think Flex knows enough about cars to hold his own but he also shows us he's still learning.

Couple of points here:

1) The cars they choose are the biggest pos ever, so whatever West Coast Customs do, it's an improvement. And since they spend about $18k on each car, why not!?! You don't want you car done? Then don't sign up, or whatever.
2) For those of you hating on FunkMasterFlex, don't. Like any of you would turn down hosting a show, meeting all those celeberties, hanging with the sports stars, WOMEN, etc.....He seems like a cool dude. He doens't sit there and spout crap he doesn't know about. He seems pretty upfront about what he knows/doesn't know.

They spent a ridiculous amount of money to make these POS cars look better. I do not understand why they don't spend some of that money to upgrade the drivetrain? It's useless if the engine/trans. do not work!

I have mixed reviews about the show....I like when they do very unique things to the cars, and some of the episodes were very good (the Hi-Jet, the 68 Mustang, the Cadillac) because they used cars that were once pretty nice (or in the case of the Hi-Jet, extremely unique). But the ones with the POS Civic, Mirage, and most of the others are just a waste of the shop's talent (I think they do an amazing job with the interiors of all the cars). They should stick to pimping cars that were nice when new, but have been beaten on and need restoration to former glory. I'm still ****ed the owner made them take the flamethrower exhaust off of that chick's Mustang.

P.S. They need to pimp out a 1st gen Q45. That would be siiiickk.

P.P.S. They do use Castrol Syntec when they change the oil.

I have to say that West Coast Customs does do some great work, especially when they have a decent vehicle to start with (check out their site). The reason they use some of the same particular brands on all of the shows are because of sponsorships or donations from the manufacturers they work with. I think it is cool what they are doing for these kids, and I do enjoy watching the show. Can’t wait to check out the Maxima.
