at approximately 2 Pm today Texas Time...one crazy moron in a Ford F150 decided to Ram to my car at approximately 40 miles per hour. I was already at full stop waiting for the light to turn green....gosh
My maxima is no longer a sedan. It is a freaking HatchBack!
rear wheels are stuck to the wheel well...everything in the rear up to the speaker is trashed....no rear windshield....

My neck is stiff and what the heck am I doing here?...venting maybe...how am I supposed to get another car that is like my max......

Some conspiracy is trying to get me some how....I am glad God is still watching me.....
Lesson learned...even when you try your best to be safe...some body will still mess you up
Seat belt is damn good. USE IT! I am glad I always do.

So whats next.....
I thought I was going to do many things with my car...but I guess I won't...................

Sorry for your loss. Make sure you are OK, go and check yourself out first! Cars are replaceable, your health may not be that easily restored. Believe me, I know how you feel, I got hit two weeks ago by an uninsured and unlicensed driver.

Sorry man. Some a$$hole tried to make a U-turn in front of my last maxima in his chevy ck. My max lost... Good luck man, go get checked out though, just in case.

 

worry about the car later.. get yourself taken car of, from the looks of it he is in the wrong, so that lets you sleep easier.. then get your police report and get his Insurance company take care of your losses, then you can worry about a new car later.. if need be sue him for you injury expenses

Sorry for your loss. My car was totaled last year too by an idiot who decided to run a light and turn in front of me. Like you, my neck started hurting the very next morning and hurt like hell for a few months.

Assuming that the guy has insurance, be aware that his insurance company is going to act all "nice and sweet" to do everything to make you feel better just so that you don't sure their asses. Depending on your jurisdiction, most states allow an injured party who was not at fault not only compensation for their property loss (your Max) but compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and PAIN AND SUFFERING (Usually 2 to 3 times the amount of medical bills). But of course, the other party's insurance company doesn't let you know that.

I know the feeling, I'm looking at possibly my second dead Maxima in 8 months.

I got hit by a frigging Aztek myself, only bumps and bruises, but I think my Max is totaled.

maybe the owner decided that he brought the wrong car took much people make fun of him and don't want to trade it in because it gonna costs a lot so he decides to total his car and he picked you to hit

 

Hey im sorry to hear about that. This is the exact same thing that happened to me last june 1 2000. Was at a red light waiting for it to turn green and was hit by a truck and my car hit the car in front of me and that car did the same. Four cars involved. This was to my 98 se, i had it for 20 months. but his insurance gave me a good aount for my totled car. Im sorry to hear about this, lucky for me, me nor my cousin had a scratch on us. The worst (best?) part is that the guy works for the local Pontiac dealer, he was driving a dealer car... I wonder what his boss will have to say about this little escapade

Man, I feel your pain. I got my first Maxima about a year and a half ago (a 95' SE) and some soccer mom in a Lincoln Navigator decided not to stop at a red light. Well, I proceeded to do a turn on my green light and she side swipped my Max, I did 2 360s, Let's just say my car looked like a Mexican Mobile minus the good body work. But got a 96 GXE after that. But make sure his insurance doesn't screw you. This lady's insurance was saying it was my fault that I started to turn too early, even though the police report said it was her fault. Later guy. Sorry about the car. $hit happens to the best people.

Two months old:

guy runs red light and smashes into front end.. engine compartment ok though

Two years old:

rearending incident (not too bad at all)

Last Thanksgiving:

guy INSIDE of an outmatic carwash rearends me with a Durango... perfect, eh?

Just a couple weeks ago:

two cars ahead of me, then i pull up, all in a row at a stoplight. Unlicensed, uninsured, non-english speaker runs into me at near full speed (as if we weren't there). hits me hard enough so my trunk and quarterpanel are destroyed, but also i hit the car in front of me, and he the car in front of him. (4 cars!)... guy that hit me, and guy ahead of me both arrested. but anyway...

I was considering, and truly, I would have the car totalled a hundred times over as long as nobody gets hurts, and that really is the most important thing here. Plus, I'm picking up a mod on this one.. new muffler, so I get to pick my own and $250 toward it, since that's how much the insurance would have paid for a Nissan one.
