Koni Install: What can I use to hold the strut while I cut?

I live in an apt. and don't have a vice. If I get one, where can I mount it? I will be using a pipe cutter to make the cut. Also, when you cut the top off, will a lot of pressure be released to cause any type of injury? I'm assuming there won't be. Thanks

I already read that. My question was about supporting the strut so that I can cut it. I don't think that having someone hold while I cut is the ideal situation.

I just installed Koni's yesterday, and I held the pipe while someone else cut.

No problems, and it wasn't hard at all.
