OK fellows as of right now I have all of your hub-rings in my hand. My packaging stuff (tape, cardboard, etc) are all at work and I'm not going back to work until Fri/Sat so I will ship them either Mon/Tues of next week.

Or if you want you can drive down to Florida for the weekend and personally pick them up. I'll even give you free room and board for the night

Since no one took my offer for free room and board I was force to mail the rings. So as of today at 1:45pm EST all the rings were mailed off first classs mail thru USPS. I'm in S. Fla so you estimate the traveling time to your front door. Once again, thanks.

I need some hub rings y0

Let's get some more interest in this so Mike will run another set

Or if any of you by chance have changed plans and dont need your rings anymore I'd be glad to take em off your hands

OK guys, I promise to check with my machinist within the next 2-3 days and let you know if he's willing to do another set. Tonight ends my 40+ hour work week and I'll be off for the next couple days.

Not so good news, I tried getting in touch with my machinist today only to find out he went in for heart surgery on Oct. 20th. His answering machine stated he could be out from 3-6 weeks. I'll check with his shop on a weekly basis to see when he returns.

Sorry gents

I'll go by his place tomorrow but from the past few weeks it doesn't look good. If for what ever reason my machinist doesn't work out any more, I'll be more than willing to shop around for another machinist. But as you know that involves set-up and research time for the new machinist. As we all know it's a very simple ring design and if anyone knows of a machinst who might be willing at a reasonable cost I can send you one of my rings so he can take measurements.

Mike, could 'standard' hub rings that you can buy for wheel applications possibly work?

For instance here http://www.1010tires.com/hubrings.asp there's about a hundred different sizes (although those are rubber, but lots of people make the metal ones - I'm just using these as an example). Maybe if it's a 'standard' size we could find them pre-made somewhere?

No, hub centric rings for wheels/rims are totally different. Today it got a little brighter, I called my machinist and his answering machine said he's back from his heart surgery but will be working 1/2 days for the next several weeks. I went to his shop this morning but he wasn't there, at that point I call his voice mail and left a message.

I can reach him on his cell phone but I didn't want to do that right away, I'm sure he'll be bombard with all types of orders and question since he's been out so long. If he doesn't call me back by Monday I'll give him a call on his cell phone.

Just to clarify, the hub ring buisness is NOT officially back at this time. But I am starting a see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

More update, I stop by the machinist today and he was there. He said he will not be able to do another set of rings until after the new year. His recovery from surgery was a lot harder than he anticipated.

MIKE

EDIT and RE-EDIT:
BTW since this thread is constanly being bump please be aware the pricing for the next set of rings will NOT be based on the group deal purchase. Instead it will be one set price of $45 tyd and I will need a minimum of five orders

MIKE
