Info for those seeking hub-centric rings for Cobra rotors

Ok gents and ladies, I've been getting a few PM's asking info about the rings so here goes. For this GD I'm going to try doing something different, which I'll explain later. The price for the rings are as listed

2 sets of rings will be $48 to your door
5 sets of rings will be $43 to your door
10 or more rings will be $33 to your door

The last GD I had the buyers send me two different payments. The first payment was a $33 down payment (incase we got the 10 or more order) and the second payment was $10 since we got more than 5 but less than 10 orders. With me recieving two different payments PayPal charged me two transaction fee, that goes without saying. With the two transaction fee (per order) I had to make up the difference in order for everyone to get their rings.

As you may or not remember from my first GD I'm not interested in making a profit out of this GD. The price I listed in the GD is the exact same price my machinist is charging me, plus a little for to cover the transaction fee and shipping cost. For this GD I'm going to try something different, so here goes.

I'm asking all those who are truely interested to send me a $48 down payment and once the GD is over I'll refund everyone the difference base on the total order, simply as that To eliminate you guys recieving two refund payments from me (two transaction fees for you) I will only refund your money once.

This GD will end Monday May 24th at 11:59pm, absolutely no acceptions. The past two GD's I extended the dead line in order to get you guys the best price possible. At this point I figured if anyone really interested they will buy a set and I hope you have enough time to save up your pennies.

One more thing I have to mention. My machinist slack up on me the last GD and there's a possibility that might happen again for this GD, so be aware. If you will be expecting your rings the day after the GD ends, dont bother. If you guys have ever dealt with a outside vendor you know **** happens, I'm just being honest here. Once the order is place with him I will stay on top of him as often as needed until the rings are in my hand.

My PayPal address is

mikey_rl@yahoo.com

I think that's about it, any question comments?

Get it while you can, this will be my last "GD" on rings.

The next time I offers rings for sale there will be one set price and I will need a minimum amount ordered.

I could order more brackets. Someone wanted two sets but I need a fairly firm confirmation. Hell. I'll just order up 5 more sets Monday. Will take about a week or so. Will advise here when they are done.

Are you trying to corner the market on Z32/Cobra BBK?

Well gents, it appears we're soon to have 7 confirmed orders. After reading this thread over and over I started to thing about this GD. Even though it may seem weird asking for money then refunding you the difference base on the total amount ordered I truely hope you understand my reasoning for doing that.

Since I mentioned this will be my last "GD" on rings, the next time I offer rings for sale the set price will be $45 to your door and I will need a minimum of 5 orders.

Disclaimer: the above price is subject to be changed without any notice. This is my ace in the hole for the archives

You guys got any suggestions on finding calipers? There's like nothing on ebay, and all the ones that have been selling lately have been overpriced cuz the 240 guys figured out they can use em too. I looked on car-parts.com and found some. I could call around to find out how much they are from the places listed (they all said $call). Any other suggestions? I'm looking for like 1990 300zx aluminum calipers right? And then I guess I'll need a rebuild kit?

Any pointers are appreciated.

Which ever one you get, make sure it's the 30mm caliper. I guess a rebuild kit is always a good idea but not totally needed.

as mike said, be careful not to get the 26mm cause there are allot of them out there. 240sx guys use them most of the time and the 300zx guys sell them to get the 30mm so that they can do BBKs

Thanks for the info guys! Do you suggest the junkyard route, just calling around? Or is there a better way to go?

Searching the net, calling around or bone yard picking all equals the same thing. We're just trying to find the best deal possible. I found my used (bone yard) caliper for a decent price, but at the time when I was looking if a rebuild, powder coated, satin finish caliper would have came across my table for a decent price I would have jump on it.

Personally I dont see nothing wrong with a pair of used calipers.

Unfortunately yes you can. I'll try to stop off at the machinist tomorrow (Wed) to place the order. If you want a set the price will be $43 to your door, you have my paypal account.

Let it be known, if for what ever reason we reach the 10 order I WILL NOT, I WILL NOT, I WILL NOT refund the difference. Nothing personal.

I could easily say "No you can not get in on this GD, you will have to wait until I get a minimum of 5 orders for next time" but what the heck, since the order was not placed.

Ok gents, the mistake was on my part. I'm in the process of transfering funds back into my payapl account so I can send you guys the refund. PayPal states it should take 3-4 buisness days before the funds are back into my paypal account, but I don't honestly think it should take that long. As soon as the funds are transfered I'll re-send the refund. Sorry
