How much should I cut off bumpstops?

When putting in my sprint springs? Is this piece also called a 'bound bumper'? I think that's what it's called in Chilton's

I think it is one inch,nipple,one ring of to be safe no more or no less......I hope this helps

That doesn't really make sense. Do you just mean one in ch from the top?

When you look at the bump stop its kinda bellowed. I just cut one "bellow" off the top and it seems to work great!

I don't think that bellow stuff will actualy 'stop' anything. Here's what we did. We kinda chop out the center section of it. The top part of the bump stop fits nicely into the hat, so we didn't want to mess that up. I'll see how that works out.
