Carbon fiber hood owners

Are you using the oem hood liner? If not, how is the surface holding up to engine heat? Any discoloration? peeling? I was thinking about picking up some Dynamat Hoodliner. But I rather not spend the $69 and having ugly looking aluminum foil looking thing if it's not necessary.

i'm using the insulation from the stock hood. I don't think it's necessary but i don't want to take any chances.

Isn't the stock insulation also supposed to smother a fire if ur engine catches fire?

Do you have any pictures of the underhood insulation with the C/F hood installed?

Thanks Eric

You dont need it. I have the same hood you do from Maxmojo. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I havent even put on the hood pins yet. I'm actually going to put them on this weekend. The fitment was no problem... just like stock other than a minor tweak to the latch. If you need any help with it, PM me.

Geez Ceasar that hood looks like crap. Why not complain to ange about the hood?

This is what the insulation looks like on the hood. Pardon my performance hood holder-uper. I also transfered the stickers that were on the OEM hood to the cf hood for safety measures. Also, it's hard to see, but i also put the lining on the top of the hood to reduce stress when i close it. Basically i put everything that was on the Oem hood on the cf hood.
