differences between 300zx calipers

specifically, 30mm aluminum and iron. what are the differences that really matter? what justifies my spending $200 extra on the aluminum?

havn't really seen this around lately - thought i'd ask.
thanks

Iron versions weigh a ton is one of the main things. I believe Nissan went with iron later because of some aluminum caliper/steel piston compatibility problems but I've never heard anything from any of the Z32 sites I've visited. I would say just change your brake fluid regularly and you will be just fine.

I've held both the iron and aluminum versions. The weight difference is not pretty.
