3yrs, 44K, and never any services except oil changes. I just went on a trip nearly 500 miles and I avg'd over 29 mpg. That 3 liter bad-boy is running well I'd say. I'm excited because I rarely get out of the city so I don't really know what the car can do anymore. I even got stuck at the GW Bridge for over 20 minutes so I could have gotten higher mileage. It was pure highway driving and 29 was about as good as it got when the car was brand-new.

I'm not saying that I'll skip the 60K service, but as far as I'm concerned the 15, 30, and 45's are unnecessary less oil, air filter, fuel filter, and fixing any leaks like the tranny reverse switch and anti-freeze.

Maximas are good low-maintenance cars. Now here was a boost to my ego: my buddy rode in my car and he said "I don't hear any rattles?" hehe fixed em that's why.

Our '99 Maxima GLE with 30K kms only gets around 380km on a tank in city driving. But since it's winter now in Canada I'm guessing thats the reason for hte low mileage. In summer it should get better.
