Silly Question! But what types of looks do you get?

When driving down the road......sitting in your Max........or just chillin right beside it?!?! Just curious what type of reaction to expect from a sleek 2k3 Maxima......List what you have and what you're absorbed reactions are, either good or bad..........

Thanks,
P

I don't think people care that much when they see a max. There's tons of them on the road so people see them every 5 seconds. Now, a Nissan or maxima guy WILL look at every one he sees, I know I do. It depends.

other guys my age usually look if i'm stopped at a light, and they more than likely think to themselves "look at this slow a** 4 door". occasionally i'll get a guy in a v6 mustang, or a civic or whatever, and he is thinking he's untouchable, so when he pulls up at the next light (after me, of course) and asks me what I did to my car to make it so fast, I get a little more respect

just kidding. i don't race. ever.

nothing at all compared to my 68 mustang, if you want attention, get one of those. Then again its almost scarey when cars stop and wait for you to pass.... at first I kept thinking they werent paying attention and might just pull out as I was passing by

Maxima is still just a family car, most people dont really care.

Ive had people compliment me saying "nice car" . . or "I like what you done with your car" . . . usually guys who drive Modded cars, ive been approached by a guy who has a Maxima (5th gen) who complimented my 4th gen, I asked if he was on the org, and he said no. At a gas station I get a couple sayings like "my brother has a Max". . . Ive never had a bad "look" towards my car, perhaps a bad look beacuse I was driving like a ****. . . but never a look of disgust towards the car, even from domestic drivers. . . The maxima does not demand attention, it looks harmless and my stock engine/exhaust maxima does not sound intimidating.

There is this one kid who drives a black Acura TL or something with chrome spinners. His car looks 10x nicer then mine, yet he still broke his neck looking at me as I drove by. True story. Usually its "Man, I love Maximas..... or I was going to get one." Then there are the people who dont belive a 4DFC can be fast. The Honda guys always want their intake to sound like mine. I guess its been compliments since day one.

they walk right by my car, like it's stock. Then, I put in a DVD and turn on the dash screen and they go . Just goes to show you that you can spend thousands on mods, or $200 on a "Redmax" monitor. Oh well, it still looks good to me.

The older folks usually give me looks of disgust and tell me to slow down even when im doing 20mph, thats when i just rev it and have the BOV spit in their faces. Otherwise the younger crew points and drools, i like that better :-)

i get looks only cause my car is hooked up more than the average car in my area. I actually had some chicks in a older buick pull up to me at a light and say they like hte color of my car. Resembles a chocolate color. I blushed, asked if i could have their number so i can teach them more about the car .

all eyes on me when racing though

only comments i've gotten so far have been about my sound system. 3-4 times in gas stations people have came up to me from all the way across the station and said "NICE system", "how much did u pay for it" , "what brand is it?" and of course i have replied with "thanks, stock bose system". as far as looks go, so far its stock but im sure any nicely done maxima gets lots of attention.

I get a lot of compliments and whenever it's clean then I get stares and such whereever I go. Most people don't realize what type of car it is. Older people think it's a really expensive car. It's an all black 5th gen with 18's and dark tint and a nice drop. Looks clean, never gets any ricer looks or comments.

I'll have my car parked behind my dorm building and look out the window to check up on it and people will be passing and staring at it. One time a group of 10 guys or so were walking toward the commons and they rubbernecked the car crazy..half the guy stopped and actually turned around and went back to stare at my exhaust or something at the back of my car. I'm getting lots of ppl trying to race me now too for some reason.

I get lots of looks and theyre never looks of disapproval...at the worst its curiousity Im guessing.

hey, what school do you go to?

i get curious looks from most people esp with 20% tint at night. i definately get stares from ricers too. the drop and wheels are an eye catcher but the SP2 catches the most attention.

females also get a little friendly around my car too. the max is the reason for 2 numbers in my phone

I always get asked about my lights. We have a pretty cool hangout at a local church, and i never got any looks or anything. then when i added my muffler and the lights, people started coming and looking at it. i lowered it yesterday, and last night i got a few rubber neckers. I'm trying to keep it sleeperish...don't want to draw too much attention, especially form johnny law

My favorite memory was when a guy i knew was riding with a friend of his. he said he told the guy if it was me, don't try to race me or he would lose, lol. he tried, and well, he lost

My car looks totally stock, but a lot of import/Nissan enthusiasts will look at it or ask about it because of the color.

My paint and interior are really clean, too, so sometimes I will get the "nice paint job" bit.

Other than that, I don't think most people give it a second thought. Maybe when I get some wheels and suspension, I will get more looks.

A lot of local ricers know my car because one ricer works at the local Chevron. I was talking to him once and told him some of the mods I have. If I had the same kind of mods on a Civic, he probably would have been more impressed He has a CRX with a full body kit, rims and the stock engine with a CAI and fart can and I think he runs high 15s.

Before I installed my Cattman exhaust, I would typically get a few "nice car" comments or someone would ask about my audio setup. Since the Cattman, I've had a few ricer cars pull up next to me on the highway and roll their windows down and ride along side of my car and then downshift and take off, all the while I've got the cruise set at 68mph. I also get asked if my car has a custom paint job...lots of compliments on the Glacier Pearl color.
