I have had people drive into the same parking lot I am parked in, they drive around my car a few times, then leave..

People driving next to me at night and stare at my HID's as if they were a Pamela Anderson poster.

for some reason people stare at my car and it bothers the hell out of me...sounds weird since ive modded my car right but i always think someone is going to do something....i guess its because someone shot out my back window once at a light...

then i get the infamous engine revving while passing and im waiting on the opposite side of the street stopped at a light...

When my car is all cleaned up, people still stare at it as much as they did four years ago. I think it's the tint. I am surprised at how much my car gets checked out for being as old as it is; pleasantly so though.

back in '97 my previous '95 max GXE was the best car among my friend and second best in my high school, so people really LOOKED. even after that in college '98-'99 (got axis 17's and tint), and used to park on "front spot", it would still turn heads......but now things changed, no one cares about some maxima...kids in my high school drive bimmers these days.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm a senior and when I just got my liscence, everyone liked my '96, then, as more and more kids starting getting liscences, their rich parents bought them bmws, benzes, and cadillacs. Most of the non rich/a$$hole people like my 2002 a lot. I gave some people a ride the other day and the whole time they kept saying how nice it was and how much they liked it.

I work in a hospital on the 6th floor and the employee lot is kinda cattycorner across the street (a two lane road) and when I work a double and get off in the afternoons I just roll the windows down before I leave so by the time I can catch an elevator down to ground floor and walk across the street and parking lot, she's aired out a bit. My car will respond easily, no problems at all lock, unlock whatever from that high up, and far away. It's awesome. My bf's Acura doesn't have the range that mine has, and tragically, seems devoid of the remote windows down option

that's some pretty good range from that high up.....i'm on the 7th floor myself but haven't tried it yet.

max looks nice by the way......i'm sure being female, you get tons of looks anyways aside from making the max look even better while driving it!!

I get compliments sometimes....

2 compliments lately were pretty cool.

First was at the Woodburn Race track and an old hardcore domestic hotrod guy with a 1953 Chevy Truck with nearly 25k in mods on it was looking under my hood and was like "you did this all yourself" and I said "Uh-huh - with some friend's help."

He said "Wow - I love your car....Makes me want to switch to Imports"
That was awesome.


The second was a guy in a 5th gen was in front of me in teh fast lane and moved over one lane, slowed down next to me, and gve me a thumbs-up. That's theo nly time that's ever happened from another Max driver.

Usually however noone seems to notice or care however.

I still remember one time when I was driving home at like 3 in the morning, This Mustang GT pulls next to me at a red light, and the guy who was sitting passenger Started laughin, So we go, and the end of the out come was the guys freind laughin at the driver, but the best part about that was seeing his Reaction, those are the best! Muaaaaahaaaaaahaaaa (evil laugh)

Right before the end of school, I was at a stop light, and this dude motions to me to roll my window down, and he asks me "hey do you live in Dayton?" Meanwhile I m down by the shore, about an hour away. He says he sees my car at the store Im a manager at all the time. Hehe thats what I get for parking in the front spot in reverse all the time...


Other than that, I get looks all the time at lights, and kids walking on the street are the best, they nearly break their necks turning so quick to get a glimpse.

In NYC, there's tons of Maxima. So people don't look at it much. I took it to a garage to get my wheel alignment and they asked me what years is it.
He said "You still have at least 3 years before you kill it".
