D2 coilovers aka Ksport coilovers

If you do a search on google, you can find a bunch of VWs and 240SX folks running these coilovers. For ~$600 + $80 for upper pillow mounts, they seem like a good deal. I recently saw Ksport coilover being mention in superstreet. Ksport seems to be rebadged D2 coilovers. Maybe Paradox system or Redlinemax or Sy that have contacts in Taiwan can get us these coilover for cheap.

I talked to a distributor for Ksport. www.trixracing.com. It seems like you can place an order for a set for $600 + $80 UPM + $40 shipping right now. The catch is they won't be here until Aug.

Now, who wants to be the crash test dummy?

I read somewhere to start being a distributor. The mininum is placing an order for 30 sets. $600 with optional camber plates/pillow mount and ability to pick your own spring rate. I think alot of people will jump on these. For the price of basic springs/struts, you can get true coilovers.

More good news. If you have time to read through all the pages in this thread and see the actual pictures from people on NICO.

http://www.nissaninfiniticlub.net/fo...&pagenumber=34

The strut body itself is adjustable just like the JIC Magic FLT-A2. The best price I found so far is $630 for the basic D2 coilovers and $600 for the K-sport.

Basically for ~$750 shipped or less. You get all the features of JIC Magic FLT-A2.

wow, great find man. So would you choose your spring rate when ordering or what?? I'm clueless as to which spring rate to get.

Taken from the above link:
"On to the good stuff:
Fully adjustable(36-way dampening(51mm shocks), ride height, camber)
Custom Spring rate(3.5, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, and 22 kg/mm)
front upper pillow ball mounts with adj camber."

I don't know what spring rate is good. Maybe someone with experience in autocross can tell us.

JIC recommends 9/6 (front/rear) for the maxima, and I've personally been in an Eclipse (pretty similar weight distribution) with 9/7 and it was fine. The tuner had to put the rear sway bar on the softer setting because the stiffer rear springs though. Ground Control supposedly uses 9/7 as the standard springs, while Tien Basic Dampers are about 7/6.

Since they don't have 6kg/mm, I'm betting that 9/7 would probably be what most of us would want to run. 11/9 could possibly be useful for track use, but would kill on the street. Anything higher would be too stiff to be streetable over bumps, dips and potholes.

This is quite an interesting thread, I'd be very interested in a set if we ever find a way to order them.

And I'm pretty sure that Cefiro A34 does not equal Maxima A34.. Cefiro A34 looks like Cefiro A33.
