Just replaced all 4 calipers and pads, now my stopping power has decreased...

This is probably just because the pads need to be worn in a bit, but I just need some re-assurance. I had at least one sticking caliper and one that didn't seem to want to clamp down, so I went ahead and replaced all 4 with OE style rebuilds, and Hawk HPS pads up front and raybestos QS's in the back. (I kept my existing Brembo drilled/slotted rotors) Today is my second day driving around with them, and I've not been able to lock up the wheels no matter how hard I stomp the brake, it'll just hit the floor. Granted I'm stopping very quickly, but prior to having the brakes done, applying 2/3 pressure would result in locking my wheels. I'm assuming this is just because the pads need to be worn in, but I'd like to know for sure.

Yeah, you may need to break in the pads...which could be up to a good 800-1000 miles....but honestly it depends on the pads. How does the pedal feel? Does it feel any different from prior to the brakes being changed? You might try bleeding the brakes and see if that helps.

Pedal pressure is more or less the same as before.
It was strange though, because when I was on my way home I was trying to get a feel for the car again and pressing the pedal 3/4 of the way down resulted in the same force as having it on the floor... that was the only thing that really worried me.

Your pedal should not "reach" the floorboard... Rebleed the system... You should/should have been easy on the brakes for a few days... If you improperly bed in the pads/rotors (glazing them over), it'll cost you.

Flush the whole brake system (a step above bleeding)..

I had the same happen with my 4th gen as well. That fixed it.. Thing is, bleeding often can be more damaging if you let air in or move internal residue from one place to another.

If a flush doesn't do it, find and empty road and heat up the brakes several times. If it still feels weird as long as it stops well it's all good I guess.

Well... I didn't do the brake job, I had a shop do everything, and they did charge me for 2 $3 cans of brake fluid, so I would have to assume they did bleed the system. Maybe I'll take a ride back there tomorrow and ask em.

A $3 can of brake fluid and you're complaining about a spongy pedal? take them some good fluid and have them re-bleed it properly with good stuff.
