altanator going bad?

altanator going bad?

this morning I go to start my car and click click wouldnt start and It has a brand new battery but after I drove it for awhile I turned it off and it started right back up. so what do you all think.

Get it checked at autozone or somewhere. When mine died, the battery light lit up, and it turned out it was the alt. with no other problems.

look at your battery cables, they might be loose or have battery acid all over them

And all gnd connections, like the one on the block and under the air intake.


Check this before you buy an alt, mine had a problem with the + terminal, took lots of trial and error but in the end it was an 8 dollar fix. And many many headaches.
