H&R wheel spacers....a bad idea?
I've recently become interested in getting H&R wheel spacers to make my 18x7.5 Katana Concept 5 rims more flush with my body. When I went to a local tire dealer and asked about em, they told me they don't sell them and that they are a bad idea because they put more stress on the lugs. So is there any truth to this. Are spacers not worth getting because of this. If there not that much of a problem, then what size spacers should I get for my wheels?

I'm not sure thats the case with HandR. They extend the studs so there isn't really any stress...at least thats what I'm told. I just ordered the 5mm(which I belive come with studs) for my z rims. I got them for all 4 corners. I NEED them for the rear...but the front is for extra stability.
what are they made out of
I had a set of aluminum ones (not sure of the brand) on my rail buggy, and I had one break last time I was out and the wheel fell off, and we rolled 3 times. This may be completely different because it is an offroad vehicle and all. This may not even be relevant but I thought I would post.
Where can I find longer studs? I got 6mm spacers to clear my front calipers on my new wheels and I couldn't find longer studs. The shop I usually deal with couldn't get any, and I really don't know where else to look.
