Is driving with CEL on bad for the Maxima?

I think my CEL is on because of my knock sensors, O2 sensors, and ambient air temperature sensors. Do I need to take care of these ASAP, or can I drive my Maxima for a while with no problems? What effects will it have on my car in the short and long run. I don't have the money right now to replace these just yet, that's why I'm asking. Thanks!

as Nismo said, get it done fast, and when you do, avoid the dealership b/c they'll milk you for all your $$, they'll want at least $100 just to pull codes

Is that the only problem I will have, gas mileage? I'm not too worried about that, more worried about problems with something in the engine.

well...it all really depends on what the code is throwing. in your case, those problems, it'll only hurt your gas mileage and most possibly you will lose HP. but who knows, im not a car expert. =)

^ well, he obviously already pulled the codes... the light is on because of one of the other two. It will show up when you attempt to retrieve codes manually.

You are probably loosing power and gas mileage, while you should get the problems fixed, I'd say its fairly safe to drive around like that for now.

Cmon now. With gas being almost $2.50 a gallon it should be a problem.
