Lightest tint possible?

I wanted to tint my car soon but I was wondering, what Is the lightest tint possible? I want to tint so that I can block out heat/sunlight, but don't want the Limo-tint look. I just want it so that there's a slight hint of grey/black on my windows. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The highest i've seen it is 45% but i'm sure that you could get it lighter. But i don't think that you would want that light. But if you just wanted to block out sun go with 15%. Enough to just keep the light out.

I think more appropriate q is are there "tints" with UV protection? Or the lightest tint to reduce the heat of the interior?

I just got an "Axius Platinum" sun shade for when parked. Helps a lot keeping my black interior cooler.

I'm also interested in a really light tint yet effective. Is there a legal % to use on the windshield? I would want all windows the same.

70% V-Cool or something of those sorts. Though those will cost you a leg. Why there are also totally transparent tints that supposdly do some UV filtering but very few places carry them. It's a pain, but search around if you want it bad..

tinting the windshield is not a good idea. 35% tint is light yet still blocks the sun and doesnt black the windows out

Many states don't allow tint on the windshield except maybe the top few inches.

i was just shopping for some tint for a window in my house. They have a clear one that blocks out 99.5% UV. I'm sure someone must make it for cars as well.

Yeah 50% is the way to go. It's hardly dark at all. 35% is noticeable.

I couldn't remember, but 4th gen's didn't get factory tint did they? I know 2nd and 3rd gen's got them, but I believe it's up in the 50-55% range...maybe higher.

3rd gen's have factory tint? I never knew that, anyone know the %vlt for factory tint? If I was to apply 35% on all windows except the windshield, what would the final %vlt on all windows come down too? Does 100% metallic tint disturb the radio in any way?

The factory tint isn't very dark, but if you roll down the window a little on a sunny day, and look between at the window, you can see it. It's a bronze/brown like tint. Or at least that is what I noticed on my car and the 3rd gen that two houses away from me. Also I noticed that the 2nd and 3rd gen's with sunroofs have tinted glass, where the 4th gen's didn't. These are by my observations anyway.
