First, do all manual shift throws for Maximas have the same threading for the shift ****? Or does each generation have its own unique setup?

Second, I contacted a local dealer and was quoted a sale price of $98 for the 20th Anniversary shift **** (very sweet looking!). Has anyone found any excellent looking shift ***** for a much better price than that?

I think the Skyline GT-R has a sweet shift ****. But i'm not sure where you can pick that up.

That's a great price! I'm calling them Monday (their website is pretty decent, too). Thanks for the tip!

They quoted me $56 with shipping. Should have it next monday. No complaints here--saved $50 bucks by avoiding the local dealer ripoff!

Re: got it... almost same price

It arrived today (Southpoint ships fast!). The **** is decent. Definitely worth $50. Not worth $90. The matte finish aluminum plate looks good with the light gray shift pattern painted atop. Black leather wrapping is smooth and cross stitched at the front only (so you don't see it when mounted). I like...

Only problem is that after a while, the top finish starts to fade out and the chrome underneath comes out. looks a little weird.

How long is "after a while"? When you say "top finish", do you mean the painted shift pattern?

I apply DashWax to all of my sun exposed surfaces, and the shift **** will be no exception. This will give UV protection and extend the life of the surface areas. After 5 years, my original shift **** pattern wore of completely. I had contemplated reconditioning it, but I like the AE **** better.
