Here's my guess for the new Altima.

Yeah I stole it from a website, but I think that this is it.

We'll see in two days. I thought it was supposed to be the basis for some new cars from Nissan, maybe? The silhouette is the same though.

This is purely specualtion,

but from two decent sources I heard that it was going to be have a V8 (hmmm?) and rear wheel drive, like the Q45. Another source said it was going to be All-wheel drive with a bigger motor. The were from two dealership owners, so I am not sure how true they are. All I know is to make it a better car, it will take some real work.

I have a friend who works for a Nissan dealer here in boulder that worked the nissan booth for the Denver Auto show. He said the new altima will be about as big as the current max. It should have a 6 that will put out around 260 or so. I think what he told me is probaly very accurate, seeing as though nissan picked him to work the Denver auto show.

Yep, they mentioned that as well.

That is why I kinda feel like the Maxima will go up to the level of the Q45.

If everything happens like I have heard...

...it will be kinda like the new Q45. Of course they would make the cosmetic changes as they did with the current Max and I30. The new Motor Trend has all the specs on the New Q. 340 HP. Again this is just speculation.

I almost pucked all over the Hyundai look-a-like (Q45); it's nasty. I'd much rather the LS430.

That's the XVL, not Altima

there were pics up on www.freshalloy.com, but supposedly Nissan made them take them down. I did see it and I really like it (Altima that is). Dual exhaust, GS300/400ish rear end, V6...the interior kind of looks like the new Frontier, but the car should be a big hit. Oh ya, it's got clear tails, not like the IS300, more along the lines of the new Ford Lightning. Anyways, I've got a pic of the rear, if you want to see it send me an email.

Looks more like a new Camry in the front to me and a new Monte Carlo in the back. I still like it though. The guage pods look just like the GS430s, if you've seen the inside of it.
