i understand a few people have put 2k1 a/e lsd trannies and i30 lsd trannies into their 4th gens. im trying to do the same. from what i understand to put the i30 tranny in i will need both left and right axles from the i30 correct? to put the a/e tranny in i need just the left axle from the 5th gen? what else do i need to put the 5th gen tranny in ? i am about to order it here pretty soon they are both the same price..

 

you only need the drivers axle for both.

 

I would go with the AE tranny over the I30 VSLD. I don't know of the AE tranny having differential bearing problems like the 4th gen maxima/I30 tranny.

 

Plus some of the gears in the AE are stronger.
