LED bulb questions

Does anyone have 1156 led bulbs for their turn signals? I want to get Either Amber or Superwhite LED bulbs but I hate that fast blinking that happens with LED bulbs. Do all the LED bulbs blink fast? Would a resistor fix the problem?

Scroll down to:
Product #RL-650 Load Resistor kit...$4.95

Attach this to the power and ground of the turn signal and it will fix the rapid blinking problem. Get one for each turn signal.

Thanks Tony...that should solve the problem.

I thought the same thing about LEDs because they're like little flashlights...but then I saw some bulbs on ebay that have the LED pointed in different directions. I think those will look a lil more like regular bulbs

I disagree on that. If you are in viewing angle range, visibility during the day is better than regular incadecent bulb, so they try it fix it by placing some LEDs on those bulbs at the sides. I haven't actually seen such bulb in action but I have truck LED board in my front turning signals and they are very bright (must have quite wide viewing angle). However, I note once more IF you are in viewing angle range.

LED bulbs suck during the day no matter what. Unless you are looking directly at the bulb and the LEDs are pointed directly at you, you cannot see them. At night, the light is visible only because it slightly fills the housing. I got rid of my LED bulbs after a few days because of this. LED bulbs shoot light in one direction and one direction only, they do not spead the light like incandescent bulbs.

Your absolutely right, if your staring at them straight on, they're MUCH brighter than normal bulbs.. problem is unless you have a wide board like you have that takes up the entire housing... its pretty hard

Umm, I guess I missed the point. Yes, in terms of filling up the housing they do suck big time!
