Oh, I'll be there...

At that point, the car will be running 10 psi w/ the 35 shot So we're going to see what it will run. I'll run on street tires, but I'm probably bringing drag radials too.

Last time we ran 13.8's @105 on 5 psi and the 19"s, so 10psi should be fun.

I think everything has changed since then. The only thing I still ahve on the car are the wheels, and even those are changing soon.

I've still got that timeslip that you and I lined up at KCIR and you got a 2.479 60' with 14.801 @94.62 all because of those crappy potenzas which are just as bad as my stock turanzas were.

You never know what tricks some people might have. I would be willing to bet at least one 4th gen will humble you.

You would think with all the street racers we have on the org it would not be a problem gettin a hundred of us out there. I mean, they don't mind driving around all nigh trying to find a civic to race, and paying for speed racing tickets so a few hour drive to Kentucky and a few dollars to run shouldn't be a big deal.

Yeah tell me about it. And for those who would balk at showing up because of the fear of being slow (or slowest) among the bunch, just know that track events are fun as hell. This thread contains certain elements of competition, but it's for the most part tongue-in-cheek. Run what you brung. Have a good time and hang out with the people who you talk to (write to) on the .org.

Anyway, lets get more ppl on board for this.

I just wanted to thanks all who are organizing this and sticking their necks out (and reputations as well) in order to get this off the ground.

it's a little more than that.

It's, IF I break my car, that's a 350+ mile tow home. You can keep that BS.

I have no trailer or truck. And really no $$ to spend on these items. So while I'd love to be there, it's just not that easy.

I really wish I could make it, I'd bust sr20's you know what..lol

I'm excited to meet everyone and I fully expect to get owned by many. I'd love to do DRs before I go out, but I need a new half shaft so that's priority #1. So it will be full on street tires for me. I'm yanking my 17s and will cruise out on my 15s.

Who says you have to beat the hell out of the car. Launch and shift soft or just show up for fun. Hell, you're in Atlanta so it's not a huge drive. We're all running the risk of breaking whether we're NA or boosted. NA cars break down too.

I will have my slicks with me. You can always make a couple passes on them if you want. I won't use them till the very end of the day.

I agree Dave. If we are going that route, I wouldn't go WOT in the Max, out of fear of breaking it. The drive is a factor, but you gotta have faith. We're not driving rust buckets out their. IF you go to a track event, it's most likely with your car running in optimal condition... I understand it from both sides though...
