help, car wont start
help, car wont start
This morning, i went to my acura legend and tried to start the car. It would not jump. I dont know if its my battery or something in my electrical system. I drive the car almost everyday. The problem is when i try to start the car, something in my engine clicks really fast... click, click click... I dont hear the engine trying to turn over, just clicks. The lights in my door dim a little, so i was thinking it was the battery. My friend came over to help me jump the car, but it just made the clicking sound even louder. I know this is not a maxima question, but i need help since i am far from home and cant tow the car back and i am sorta stranded in westwood. Does anyone have a guess of what it could be? I'm hoping its a bad battery, but if not any other ideas?
Anyone in the local area know anything about the elecrical system want to lend a hand? thanks!

i dont have AAA which is gonna be a problem. Whereabouts in my engine is the starter? I will be give the starter a couple of bumps. This starting thing happend to my last week too, but i was able to fix it by shaking the car a bit, lol.
hey that sound you are hearing sound exactly like my dads ls430 when the battery was dead. Trying placing a multy meter on the battery. if it is dead and will not jump take the battery out of you maxima and put it in the acura. if it does not start then try the starter thing. sometimes batteries go bad internally and short themselves out which means that jumping the car will not work with that battery because it is shorting out the system. this happened in my friends chevelle. we put a new battery in and voila.

Check/clean the terminals on the battery. Tap the starter lightly with a hammer. Also check the fuses/relays
