How did you pick out your NEW Max?
When we bought mine new in 95, wasn't mine at the time I later bought it from my mom, we wanted one in Black emerald, w/ABS, and C&C only. This was rare even back then so they did a search of CA and only found 2 in the entire state, and they made a trade for us. . . We were almost forced to get an Artic Wite one w/BOSE thrown in for only $200 more, but one of the dealerships finally agreed to trade.
The reason I ask...
I stop at almost every Nissan dealer I see to check out any new 5spds...they never have any. Then the salesman tells me how they are few and far between. Then they check and there is one somewhere that they can get in a few weeks...or I can order one direct from Nissan and have it in a month at the soonest. I'm not in the market for a new max yet, but I still like to test drive and give salemen some $hit along the way.

Back in November 2000 my dealer didn't have any manuals. I had to have them locate one at a dealer 350 miles away to get the exact model and options I wanted. Now they seem to have at least one manual on the lot at all times.
really? I got a Y2K SE 5sp in Toronto ... there were 2 left when I bought ...

Decided on a Merlot 5sp SE as I laid in an ICU bed,
Hospitalized with an irregular hearbeat and waitting on a "Cath".
Had wife call dealer and order as to take her mind off the gravity of my situation.
Now the SE and I are both doing fine,
Just installed a Cattman's RSB last night

Decided on a Merlot 5sp SE as I laid in an ICU bed,
Hospitalized with an irregular hearbeat and waitting on a "Cath".
Had wife call dealer and order as to take her mind off the gravity of my situation.
Now the SE and I are both doing fine,
