I give props to Ceasar as well... He was such a hard core track goer that it really got all of us people that were local to him to spend every extra dollar we had on performance mods and to go to the track... Some of the most fun I've ever had were with Ceasar and his wife Nismo_K at the track, and I will miss them as well, since they moved to New Zealand recently. And of course props to Hal as well, I would have never turbo'ed my car if it weren't for him.

For me:
Tran, Russ, Andy B (what OG can forget about the infamous TA vs. Supra discussions between those two?), Edwin, David L., Shingles, Tony (1Max2NV), Woodear (him and some other OG which I can't remember and their GS400 vs A6 debates), Fong (creator of the red/clear tails), of course Doug!!! (wonder if he's still learning how to drive stick at meets?) and all the other OGs which I can't remember at this moment who nutured maxima.org from its infancy to the monster its become now.

Yeah, I have to agree here too. I also suppose I should post more in General instead of just live in the 3rd gen section

For me personally (my list gets big):

General Board:
BigDogJonX- We used to always talk about his turbo and cars in general, just great technical convos/etc
SR20DEN- Same thing as Dixit, plus I know most of his secrets, but he doesn't tell me them hi2uMatt

3rd Gen:
Jeff92se- Well never really asked many questions online, but Jeffy is very knowledgeable. Also I have about half of his old car in my 92se and we do a bunch of work together and is a great guy
Matt93SE- Back when I had my old 93se I pestered him a bunch about the RCA cables for the stereo/etc. Always willing to help out, and is a good trader. Blehmco is just his way of rebelling the move to Texas heheheheh (I love his mod of the week too).
KLoWnPR109- KLoWns just great, no denying it, same with James lol
MaDMaX024- I dunno, we just bs alot on AIM lol. Plus he is about the craziest **** when it comes to really fawking with your daily driver lol. (Julio too)
nubiannupe- because aside from the windshield banner, I thought his car was really cool, plus G is a great guy and has cool ideas :-)
DA-MAX- Addae has a wealth of knowledge, if I ever have a ECU programming/etc question he's the first guy I'll go to :-)
Aaron92se- Just ask him the gains from a mod, he will reply in tenths hahhaaha
mtcookson- His turbo write up is cool, but the number of times he retyped all that info, over and over....... and over and over is even more impressive lol.
There are more, but alot of them dont post anymore

(DanNY also has a wealth of knowledge, but wont post pics for us to oogle at )

edit: MaxSE03 and PrinzII for detailing and stereo knowledge :-)

Just to add to the list...

George/Geo1317 - With his creative mods....projectors, big brake, crazy led lights that splash clean hotness and so many "little mods"

Tom/NJmaxseltd
Jeff/Maximus75
They are both incredibly talented in the work they do...

though we ***** about the sellers of the mods, we have to recognize that without their investment in the first place, much of what is offered for the maxes would not be possible.

Thanks Ange, Custommaxima, southwest, matt93se,sycefiro. jim wolf, stillen, and anyone else I may have forgotten.

i would have to say c max. i saw him run at the track and he impressed everybody with a 12.9@111 in the 1/4 with a automatic. and at every meet he attends he commands the crowd with his awesome and clean car.ive seen him destroy five speed turbos like nothing with a auto for crying out loud and he represents hard for the max.

My top pick is Jeff K because he is the one that got me interested in purchasing and modifiying a Maxima. I had no idea they could be so quick for a NA V6 sedan.

My other top picks would be:

Daniel Martin
Jime
SR20DEN
Mardi
Cattman
Hal
Matt93SE

I would have to say that back when I was 18, I knew relatively little about the Maxima. After the past eight years of owning my Maxima, I can only thank all the knowledge the members of the "org" has had to offer. I've been able to create something I can call my own and hopefully maybe even something a little more unique. I thank everyone.

Since I pretty much just deal with the 3rd gen guys, here is my list:

MrGone (he talked me into modding my car and continues to do so)
Jeff92SE (never a question he couldn't answer and he did my JDM swap)
Aaron92SE (the king of the 1/4 mile)
Matt93SE (king of suspension mods, plus he has an Aztec Red VE!)
Craig B (his site saved my *** a bunch of times, especially when I first got the car)

Non- 3rd gen:

MaximaSE86 (Sarin is really dedicated to us NWMax guys, and helps with EVERYTHING)
iansw (NW king of boost, also a great conservative thinker)

There are a lot of other guys I really appreciate, but I wanted to keep the list to just "most influential" so there you go.

Oh, a special thanks to Julio, since I have his entire exhaust...

My influence Id have to say would be Nismo87se. Without him I would not have known about the potential the 2nd gen maximas actually have. And because of him is the reason I wanted to become moderator of the 2nd gen forum. To bring to the site better and unknown info about the 1st and 2nd gen maximas. I also would like to say (instead of making a list of people) All the OG's of maxima.org that are not around anymore that started the maxima modding craze. Some know who they are and some dont. They are all posted in some of these threads though. Without them there probably wouldnt have been a maxima.org for this long.

My influences are first and formost:

JimW:(His max had a bulletproof auto much like mine and used to kill cars that you never thought possible. He got ragged on too by the .Org who doesn't believe a thing)

papasmurf: (He has helped me and numerous max members in the DC area as well as NY/NJ area with their cars. He also taught me that you don't have to spend a fortune to make your car fast...you just have to think a little harder.)

Washington DC Maxima 'aka eben7: (Convinced me to step to the next level and get a y-pipe.)

Craig B: (for making a site for all others to see my lighting rewires)

1MAX2NV: (for helping me with the fog light rewire and for taking pressure off of me at Maxus 2001. Your car gets more and more innovative everytime I see it.)

Matt93SE aka Matt93GXE: ( for making me a set of door pods for my speakers in my 3rd gen and turning me on to the Focal line. I am grateful. Also for making those nice BBKs. I will be contacting you for a rear kit soon.

Chad aka DEATHWISH: (for having the greatest bbs forum for the maxima community. Without that forum there would be no Maxima.org forum now. It was a very tight community that you could post about anything anytime. It was truly a fun site

Good, someone else remembers him.

He got me interested in autoXing. I remember when I took my first ride at the Solo2. That was awesome!

There really are too many people to list. The SC/Turbo forum always has some good information.

I really appreciate all of Jay's help for sure.

Cattman - Ypipe and coilovers. He was making stuff for the 4th gen when nobody else was willing to make parts for us.

Andy - Really helpful in the early days before he moved on.

Matthel - First turbo 4th gen.

Jime - People just don't understand guys with nitrous so it's nice to know I'm not alone.

The guys that are DIY are most influential to me. ie. Cheston, Chunger, DaveB, SR20DEN, StephenMax, Mardigrasmax and many others. Since they do their own work, they know what they are talking about.
