I am on my second 3rd gen. I 1st owned a 90 GXE and now a 92SE. My 90 GXE died in a accident with 120000 last year and I miss it becuase I think it was better in looks and mechanical dependability than my 92 se(VTCs, Clutch). My 92 is more fun to drive though

This is my first.........

but my dad had an '83 Maxima I used to cruise around in back in the day. So counting my own '91, we've had two Maxs. That '83 was built like a tank though until it died in 1996, pops sold it for $60, seriously! then he had the nerve to buy a damn minivan......

My first was a 96gxe 5 speed, had it less than a year when some a$$hole decided to make a U-turn from the right lane. Now I have a 97gxe auto. Man do I miss that 5 speed...

If you still had the 96SE today and were looking for a new car, for all the money you lost to depreciation on the 98 and 00 you'd be getting a 530i like my friend did. Since there isn't that much diff between the 96 and 98, 2000 and 2001, I'd take the 530i any day. Dang you threw away like 15 grand more like 35 grand if you include your other 2 cars you must be a rock star to be able to throw money away like that *lol*

Live larger than life peace out

First Nissan product for me, first car I've actually owned. 1st real car was a 90 toyota camry, so yea I jumped ship. Next car will probably not be another nissan. I'm not happy with the build quality and other things. Probably Lexus/Toyota for Japanese or BMW or Mercedes on the other continent.

3 cars, 90 gxe "the tank", 95 gxe , 2000 se. The 90 gxe was indestructible! That car survived my college years. The 95 was modded to the hilt and faster that my current 2000 se. Hopefully this will change soon.

This is my second max but my third nissan. My first car was an 87' sentra XE auto which was a hand-me-down from my grandma. It had over 200k on it when I got it. My second nissan was my 92' SE auto. Another hand-me-down but this one was from my mom. It had about 170k when I got it and about 228k when I sold it. My current nissan is a 95' SE 5 speed. Some of you may know it as Mega Max. My mom also used to own an 87' GXE auto before she got the 92' she gave me.

1 so far,

Hopefully not the only 1, I always wanted the car I have but it's been giving me problems since day 1, I only had 2 months of fun until the tranny and then other **** followed, it's over a year now and it's never the same as it was.... I still love the Maxima and think they are one of the best looking and nicer engine affordable 4 door sedans on the road
Soon I'll be upgrading to a VQ.

oh yea, my uncle used to have an 87 with something like 200k miles on it.

THREE

I had a 96 SE 5-speed black on black with 2%tint all around, Fittapaldi Wheels, a 92 GXE 168,000 miles when I sold it (DAMN Auto) Gold, 5% tint Fittapaldi Wheels, Stillen intake, Tsudo Dual DTM exhaust, oh and the 92 went to hell and back, and now I have the GTRBLKMAX, 97 SE 5-speed black on black, all mods listed below. Hopefully will get a 99SE-L in a year or 2, hope to keep the 97 "cause I gonna ride that mothaf@cka till da wheels fall off" (Eightball & MJG)
