I was thinking of putting them on on my 2000 Max. I think it would look better if the rear wheels were a bit more out than they are now.

Will that effect handling of the car at all? Anything else?

Thanks.

I have a set of wheel spacers on my max

They are only 1 cm wide, but it helped me out a lot. I have the 17 X 8" GS400 wheels and when fully turning the wheel to the left, the front tire barely touches the oil shield. The 1 cm cleared the tire from the oil shield after I installed them. As for safety, the Lexus wheels require mag lugs which ties about an inch of thread from the wheel stud; as oppose to the stock acorn nuts that only take in half as much. Performance is a little better at high speeds and on long smooth turns (freeway on and off ramps). The car looks a lot better with with the wheels spaced out too. I got these wheel spacers for $10 at a local wheel shop.
