I'd say knock sensor, check your codes

Mine knocked real bad once, and at 4K the power completly fell off....

Alright i changed out the knock sensor for the hell of it. Thanks to my friend clark for getting that ***** out... We pulled out the old one and it was cracked right down the middle. We put in the new one and tested it out...nothing. It felt stronger then ever.

So i wanted to post back and let anyone els know that may have this problem that it was the knock sensor. and as a tip make sure it torqued right! thats very important.

so basically no ghost 0304 codes ever popped up and yet the KS was bad? I been suspecting a power loss too and even had a 0304 come up but reset it and havent came back up yet, guess mines broke too but wont pull codes. guess its good and bad news, more money to spend but at least I get power back

Yes Nismo, I believe the knock sensor was still working that’s why it never sent a code. But when we pulled it out it was cracked. The second we put in the new one with out even resetting the ecu i felt all my power come back and then some, ive never hurd the tires bark so hard and 2nd, and even granny shifting sometimes with out trying i get 3rd. If your car has over 70K in it id do it anyway for the hell of it cuz i hard they eventfully lose power even if there working when they get older.

Best of luck
