Valve Body from Maximum tuning!!
I would know how many guys from here has done VB, what stage, any difference to your tranny...
lets say that i have a problem with my tranny, for example... first gear goes until ~5.500 rpm if i get VB my tranny will be ok? or i have to do it before my tranny goes bad?

i had the first gen stage II vb.. and now have the second gen stage II.. i would say go for it. Under acceleration the difference is night and day. Normal driving you don't notice it so much, but that's good. I still wish I had a stick, but this is the second best thing.

I would take your car in for the tranny issue first. It might be under warranty, you have under 36K miles? If so take it in to the dealer and have them fix it, then get a VB mod once the warranty is up as it will void all warranty work.

i got ~38.700 miles but i have warranty until 100.000 miles, i dont know if my tranny has problem, the only thing is that the first gear goes until 5.500 rpm. My experience with the dealer is not the best, they will not fix my problem... same happen with my 2k2 maxima, i had problem with the tranny and thay said that fixed it but it was the same sh*t.

i had the vb a while ago..was one of the first guys to get it from jeff when he came out with it. i think it was stage 1..he was only offering one then i think.. it was great when u gun it..1st-2nd shift was nice and short..
about a year later i changed it out and got the 5 speed conversion.. i think the 5th gen 00 max is like 7.6 secs 0-60 for auto and 6.7 manual.. so its much quicker
if your tranny is dying..i say switch it out..get the 5 speed in there. when you get the vb mod..your tranny warranty gets killed anyway just my opinion..

get a used tranny from shea stadium...if you get lucky you'll find a max with low miles with the tranny intact..thas wut i did..
i think i paid around 900 total for mine
and then of course around 1000 for installation cuz i had tcs or something
