WHY do you mod your car?
whats your reason for putting money into your max? do you race it? take it to shows? do it because your friends do? why? I do mine because eventually I want to get my max in the shape to take to road courses and race it.

But to be totally honest? all i would need on a car is a body kit, nice rims, coilovers and a nice system and i a satisfied.
After riding a bike, i won't even bother with performance stuff on my car again, after all the stuff i have broke and replaced due to performance stuff? fck that

i agree with sprint... that's why instead of boost, i'm gonna buy a used gixxer 6 or a used r6. all i have is a lip kit, ae rims, sprint w/ agx's, and a little bump in the trunk and i'm fine with that. i might redo my interior though. i'll get all the speed i need from my bike.

I used to have a bike, a Kawasaki Ninja 250, it was small and easy to ride, pretty quick and only costed me UNDER 200/year (not a typo) to insure and was great on gas. I sold it though, and now that the weather is nice I miss riding it. It was a great bike to learn how to ride on.

initially, I was not satisfied with my car's handling. so I added RSB, FSTB. and I was still not happy with the handling, so I added the struts and spring.
then I was not satisfied with the power, so I added intake. Nope, that did not help a bit and I was like WTH, I just go for the most powerful performance mod, the SC.
In order to maximize the SC output, I need a ypipe. So I bough ypipe. In order to ensure the engine is function properly, I bought gauges to monitor it. In order for the tranny to handle the SC power, I bought re-calibrated vb. In order to get more power, I swap the pulley. In order to get more and more power, I added the cat-back.
one word....greed.

Because it's FUN!! I personally don't like shows much, the only "looks department" mod I did were AE headlights and front clears. Everything else, inlcuding wheels were for performance reasons.
It just makes the car much more fun to drive.

I have the same feeling. If I didn't mod my car, I think I would have went through 2 new cars by now. In the end, I would be spending the same amount of $ or less. Higher insurance, more depreciation and higher annual car taxes with newer cars. Every time I change my rims. It looks like a different car.

....although I haven't done any modification yet to my '04 Maxima that soon will change. The reason I'm going to do it is to make my car different from the other '04's. Give the car its own 'personality'. Not only that but it also shows you car enough about your car that you're willing to put more money to a car that is already expensive as it is. Also, it's fulfilling knowing that your hardwork/ideas created whatever you have at that time. Last but not least, why not???
