Look at my new toys.....audio stuff(PICS)

So its about time for the BOSE to be retired, i like it but i think i would have been better off without it. so here is my new system. My question is since i am replacing everything at once what am i going to need, can i just buy a regular harness for nissans and that is all i need. ? do i need to run new wiring to the speakers directly from the deck. any tips would be helpful, i have read the faqs in the audio forums and posted there no luck. i know how to take everything apart all i wanna know is would wiring this up be difficult.

Nice choices. You're going to love the XR's. Looks like someone has a little bit of work ahead of them.
Enjoy

May want to check the audio classifieds. There are a few decent amps being sold right now.

Curious since I'm looking seriously at a JL 450/4 amp, why did you hate the 500/5?

well when i got it it was $850 and it was just so i would have all JL. it just wasn't powerful enough. i wans't pleased with it really. they make great speakers but i think there amps leave alot to be desired. i may just get a HIfonics amp or kicker i have hear better things.

also the audio forums i like a grave yard

nice choices i had the new orion 5 channel amp but it was just way underpowered. so now i'm running separate amps for the fronts, rears, and sub. much better IMO.

you buy a wire harness.. then you use the existing factory wires.

Installing the new speakers... Well you now have component speakers, and I don;t know if the bose crossover will work with those speakers (that is if your car came with component speakers). You may want to just re-wire the speakers to your new wire harness for the deck.

the bose amp is in the bottom of the speaker for 4th Gens.. so just use the existing wire

Elaborate ? please i like doing things right the first time so if there is something wrong here i would like to know so i don't do it and have to re do it when i hate it
i hate the bose and i hate the original owner of my car who opted for a 99 SE-L with abs and bose.the dumbar*se should have gotten leather and screwed the bose.

today i bought a scosche car stereo connector and hopefully that is all i need since the wiring is already in the door. i just have splice into it. The Jl speakers came with their own crossovers. i am not big on audio stuff don;t know much about it. everyone is like alpine and Jl auido is good stuff so i bought it and belive me the stuff wasn't cheap...

thats why i said i would have done it differently.. its all good man we all have different opinions and tastes. The thing about opinions and ideas is that we all won't be driving around with the same audio setups. Its not mine is better than yours.. but meerly i did it differently.
