It's the brushed version. I heard the polished version is more like chrome. Not really into bling bling on the outside of the car.

Okay, I'll be the first...

I don't like it. I think with the Volk wheels your car had a great sporty look, and the stock grill or a custom mesh grill would look a lot better with the wheels than that one. That grill (even in the brushed version) seems something more suited to chrome. I think you've got one of the top Maximas in the country, but imho it looks better with the stock grill.

That is SWEET! I wish they had one for the 4th gen. The Stillen grill looks too much like a Pontiac Grand Am, and I don't know of any other aftermarket available.

Maybe there's some way to tweek this one to fit? The sizing looks really close. Where'd you buy it from and for what price?

Price

I think it was around $150 from http://www.godfathercustoms.com/

The price on the website is alittle more so I would suggest you call.

ill be the second

I'd have to agree that it takes away some of the sportiness feel to the car. But u know, different strokes for different folks.

Yes, of course it is -- I made a hasty reply. Sorry. I should have said '95-96 4th gen.

So, as far as I've been able to tell, Stillen is the only one making a grill for the '95-96 4th gen. This grill looks great... but is it only for the '97-99? Any chance to tweak it to fit the '95-96?

Tony that looks really good.

When do you think you'll get to test your car at the track?

I'm getting a safety blow off valve on the bottle in order to be NHRA legal. I called Captiol and that's what they said I need. I don't have room to put a blow down tube, so I'm getting a -8 AN fitting with SS line. They just said I need to vent the gas outside of the car.

How 'bout some powedercoating?

I'm not a big fan of the shiny metal look, since my Max is a black GXE and I'm trying to get rid of all my chrome. I wouldn't mind getting one and powdercoating it black though.

My idea

I have a black stillin Smx Grill, I was thinking of just getting the brushed valance. Do you think that will look nasty? Opinions thanks and will the valance fit a 95? I know the grill won't so I heard.

the valance definately will not fit, i do know a few people that replaced their 95-96 bumpers with 97-99 ones and both the grill and the valance fit perfectly. That is pretty much your only choice. As far as i know the newer bumper should fit right where you old one did with no other modification.
