I repainted 3 tires already and two more to go. I have the honeycomb rims. The airplane stripper is good on the inside of the comb and not the surface. I can't get the paint off the surface, so I just wetsand it down. Once is smooth, I just add 3 coat of silver and 3 coat of clear. A warning before painting. Make sure there's no grease or oil on the rim. The result will be spotting if there's oil there, even after 3 coating. Also to speed up the process of drying the paint. I would advise using a hair dryer. Make sure the dryer has a good filter to block the dust.

Instead of spending 3 hours on two rims, i can spend an hour.
